Morgan Flynn, EIT

Water Resources Designer

The ink on her diploma was barely dry when Morgan joined Meliora in summer 2022. The Temple University grad, who has a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, came to the firm with credentials as an intern in the site civil department of a national consulting firm and as a research assistant in Temple’s College of Engineering. It’s a good fit. As someone who grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, Morgan attended programs and volunteered at the Pennypack Environmental Center. Running events and teaching programs about nature and environmental science to children and seeing the impact of the built environment on the urban forest and Pennypack Creek inspired her to study environmental engineering with a focus on stormwater.

Morgan works closely with a group of senior engineers at Meliora whose focus is design for stormwater management, land development, erosion and sediment control, and providing associated services such as construction administration. She has been involved with many of the firm’s projects for the city’s ReBuild program, particularly improvements to recreation centers.

In her spare time, Morgan likes to cook and share meals with friends, a tradition that started with her college roommates. Although experimenting with new recipes is fun, the lure of tried-and-true dishes like lasagna and vodka pasta is sometimes hard to resist.
